Heart attacks in women often look different from men.

Chest  Discomfort

Chest pain may feel tight, heavy, or squeezing — but not always intense. Women often feel pressure instead of sharp pain.

Shortness of  Breath

Feeling breathless even without exertion. Often appears without chest pain, making it easy to ignore.

Unusual  Fatigue

Sudden, extreme tiredness that feels out of nowhere. Common in the hours or days before a heart attack.

Pain in Jaw,  Neck, Back or  Shoulder

Women may feel radiating pain instead of chest pain. Jaw or back discomfort is one of the most overlooked signs.

Nausea or  Stomach Pain

Woman holding stomach with discomfort, soft medical background, no text.

Dizziness or Lightheadedness

Sudden dizziness, fainting, or feeling unbalanced. Often paired with weakness or sweating.
